This excel application allows for tracking of your team's career statistics, leaders, best seasons, and even all time lows. It's pretty huge unzipped and gobbles up a lot of resources due to the sorting formulas, so it is highly recommend that Calculations are set to Manual.

Download Zip File (867K, Requires Excel)

The first worksheet that will appear is the Data Entry Screen. Here virtually all data entry occurs (you'll need to enter your team name in cell H1 of the Top 20 Leaders worksheet). It is HIGHLY recommended that the Excel calculation option be set to Manual by going to Tools>Options>Calculations>Manual. The file is huge and otherwise resorts everything following any piece of data entry making the process of entering data very painful even on a fast computer. However, it doesn't really matter if the data is copied and pasted from the Season Stats Spreadsheet also available for download from this web page. It's a fantastic bit of Excel work, however, and worth the download - if only we could track stats as the play foxy bingo (www.foxybingo.com) or eighteen rounds of golf just as easily, right? On to the instructions.

Using Season Stats:

In the Season Stats Spreadsheet, simply click on the Season Tab, highlight all the player's non-percentage data (exclude the defensive numbers) in Columns A-K (ignore the total and header information as well). Select Edit>Copy or Right Click Copy. Return to the Career Stats Spreadsheet and click on Data Entry. Click on the first cell under Players Name that says ZZZ-Non Player. Select Edit>Paste Special>Values or Right Click Paste Special>Values. In Column D, enter whatever you want to call the Season/Tournament (I generally put Winter '04, Spring '05, etc., but any unique identifier will work. Even simply 1, 2, 3 numbers). You may want to double check that your player's names are named consistently if they were used in previous season or a new ID will be assigned to them.

Manual Entry:

In the H column, enter each player's name. You do not need to enter a Player ID, this will update automatically. However, be sure you spell your player's names consistently because the file will assign a different ID to Joe Smith than Joey Smith. In Column D, enter whatever you want to call the Season/Tournament (I generally put Winter '04, Spring '05, etc., but any unique identifier will work. Even simply 1, 2, 3 numbers). Finally, enter statistics in Columns J-S. It is not required to enter the percentages for Avg, SLG, OBP, etc. because the worksheet will calculate it for you.

If you select the Top 20 Leaders Tab, this worksheet displays the top 20 best and worst seasons in all statistics tracked by the database. Also, cumulative team totals for each season are displayed at the top of the worksheet.

If you select the Player Card Tab, this worksheet allows the viewing of each player's career individually. Simply enter the Player's ID inside the blue box and click on another cell.

If you select the Career Totals Tab, this worksheet lists the cumulative totals for all the players who have appeared in a game as well as highlighting the all time leaders in each category.
